Social Ministry
Throughout his ministry, Jesus reached out to those in need, healing the sick and helping outcasts and those who were alone. Following Christ’s example, St. Andrew provides assistance to those in need, and offers help and support to members of the community who are struggling with personal or family problems.
Coraopolis Food Pantry
In the mid-1990’s St. Andrew helped to organize a food pantry to feed the hungry in the Moon Township, Crescent, Groveton, Coraopolis and Neville Island areas. In 2006, we joined with the Coraopolis Community Development Foundation, Robert Morris University and the Salvation Army to launch the Coraopolis Food Pantry. Today the organization provides food twice a month to over 175 families in these communities.

In conjunction with the Coraopolis food pantry, we also provide fresh fruit on a weekly basis for the local snack pack program. This program serves students in the Moon Area and Cornell school districts.
Caring Ministry
The members and friends of St. Andrew provide strength and support to those in need in both our congregation and in our community.
St Andrew’s Prayer Warriors offer prayers for those who are ill, grieving or who have other physical, emotional or spiritual needs.
Our Caring Committee members help to provide meals to those who have had surgery, illnesses or other needs in their family.
