MORE THAN 20 YEARS AGO, the Souper Bowl of Caring began with a simple prayer from a single youth group:
“Lord, as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be mindful of those without even a bowl of soup to eat”.
Since that day, more than $81 million has been raised for local charities across the country. It has become a powerful movement that is transforming the time around Super Bowl weekend into the nation’s largest celebration into giving and serving. Be a part of this movement that is sharing God’s love with those in need by donating money or food on Super Bowl weekend (February 5th). 100% of the collections will be donated to Coraopolis Co-op Food Bank. We would like thank the St. Andrew Congregation in advance. Each each you help make this food drive a success and we are sure it can be done again with you help. So please remember to bring in your donation Sunday, February 5, 2012!
