St. Andrew Lutheran Church is located in Moon Township, PA. The congregation of over 500 offers two distinct worship styles each week, with the sacrament of communion offered every Sunday at both services. St Andrew is very active in the community, sponsoring a local food bank, hosting various support groups and non-profit groups as well as participating in other charitable causes. We have an excellent Christian education program for every age from preschool to adults.

HARVEST DAY
Sunday, October 26th
Harvest Day is Sunday, October 26th. Canned goods and fresh produce will be collected and displayed on the altar for this day. Please bring your canned goods to the church by Friday, the 24th so they can be used in the altar display. As you leave the sanctuary to you can pick up a grocery bag as a reminder to pick up a few extra cans while at the grocery store this week.
Please note - outdated and glass containers cannot be accepted. Cases of canned goods - fruits, vegetables, pasta items are most appreciated - it allows for easier distribution, so please consider getting cases of canned goods from the grocery store or warehouse club.
Monetary donations for the Neville Ark Food Bank are also desperately needed and greatly appreciated. Checks can be made payable to "St. Andrew Lutheran Church" with "Neville's Ark" in the memo. Please enclose in the Harvest Day envelope that is provided in today's bulletin. (If enclosing cash and desiring credit for your donation, be sure to note your name on the envelope.) All items will then be distributed to those in need through the Neville's Ark Food Bank. Thanks for your help in providing food to the less fortunate of our area.

CARING MINISTRY PRAYER REQUESTS
The faithful Prayer Warriors of our Spiritual Needs team have been busy praying daily for members of the congregation, leaders of the congregation and the special needs of our members, their families and friends and also for the congregation as a whole. If you have any special prayer requests that you would like our "Prayer Warriors" to take to the Lord in prayer please e-mail Audrey Longerman. Prayer requests can be confidential. Last names do not need to be used nor does the person requesting prayer need to be named. It is helpful however, if you give us a little info about why prayer is being requested so that we know how to pray.
ENCOURAGEMENT TEAM
The Encouragement Team is still in need of members. Participants need only to be responsible for sending greeting cards to members in times of special need (i.e. illness, birth, marriage, death, etc.)
Anyone interested in serving in this capacity please contact Carol Crawford.
CARTRIDGE RECYCLING PROGRAM
Don't forget to continue to save your used ink cartridges and toner cartridges for our recycling program. There are collection boxes in the front and back entryways of the church. Any questions, contact Donna Renshaw. Thank you for your support.
